There is a wide array of pests in the United Kingdom. Common household pests include cockroaches, ants, flies, moths, mice, rats and fleas. These pests all behave differently and will require different forms of treatment based on both their species and the size and location of the infestation. Pests can cause damage to homes and property, contaminate food and could even spread diseases. In addition, pests are a nuisance, which means they have an impact on your enjoyment of your property and cause stress to those affected. Small infestations may be handled yourself, but sizeable infestations or those that could spread diseases will need to be treated by expert pest control companies.

Experienced pest control companies can inform you of the most effective way to treat your pest infestation. This may involve the utilisation of poison bait, insecticides or traps to kill any moving pests, as well as deterrence methods such as cleaning the environment and removing any access routes that the pests are employing. When looking for a pest control company, pick one that is certified by the British Pest Control Association.

The key to an effective pest control treatment is correct identification of the species that is causing the issue as various species will respond differently to treatments. It is also crucial to ensure that any food sources or access routes that the pests were utilising are eliminated and do not reoccur as it is likely that pests will reappear.

Newtown is the largest town in the county of Powys, Wales. It had a permanent resident population of 12783 in 2001, dropping to 11357 at the 2011 census. Newtown is roughly 8 miles (13 km) from the Wales-England border, in the narrow valley of the river Severn which restricts development north and south of the town. Newtown is surrounded by small villages normally referenced as the Newtown region. The town grew most noticeably in the 18th and 19th centuries around the fabric and flannel sector, which was further encouraged by the conclusion of the Montgomeryshire Canal. In 1838, the town saw Wales’ first Chartist demonstration. The town was designated as a ‘brand-new town’ in 1967. It has seen a significant population growth as companies and individuals have settled, changing the rural market town character. Lying on the River Severn, within the historical boundaries of Montgomeryshire, the town is best known as the birthplace of Robert Owen in 1771. His former house stood on what is now the site of the HSBC Bank. The Robert Owen Museum is over the road, occupying the ground floor of the council offices. Built by Sir Pryce Pryce-Jones, the Pryce Jones Royal Welsh Warehouse remains the tallest building in Newtown. The 2 towering structures housed the world’s very first mail order service depot. Bear Lanes, the town’s prime shopping centre, has a Tudor-style entryway. The structure was formerly a hotel, The Bear, which contributes to the centre’s appeal today. Newtown is also the home of Theatr Hafren and of Oriel Davies, a notable public gallery, which shows national and overseas modern art and craft. Newtown hosted the National Eisteddfod in 1965. For all of your home refurbishments, make certain to find trusted specialists in Newtown to make certain of quality.
